Andrea
I saw you tonight, my love
I saw you in the evening star
(Venus, the goddess of love-how appropriate)
I saw you in the bare tree branches against the november evening sky
I saw you in the moonlight rippling on the water
I heard your laughter in the rustle of wind in my hair
At the Old House, I saw you in the sunlight on the waves,
I felt you near, over my shoulder in the kitchen.
How I ache to hold you - strong and fragile all at once
How I ache to hear you - that rich and throaty laugh, that little girl voice
How I ache to see that smile lighting up everything all around-vulnerable yet daring, inviting
How I shiver, yearning for the warm love you showered on me
I'll be with you again, someday...laughing, running, dancing
I'm counting the days......
